Hitchin Town Football Club and The Hitchin Cow Commoners Trust Unite to Create a Vision for the Future of Top Field.

Hitchin Town Football Club and their landlords, the Cow Commoners Trust, are pleased to announce a collaborative initiative to shape an exciting future for the historic Top Field site.

Together, we have been working to develop a shared vision for a modern, inclusive, and community-focused facility that respects the heritage of Top Field while providing lasting benefits for the people of Hitchin and the surrounding area. This golden opportunity allows us to build on our common goals and create a legacy that future generations can be proud of.

Our joint ambition is to retain the spirit and history of Top Field while enhancing the space to better serve both the football club and the wider community. This will involve exploring options of releasing part of the site for development which will in turn provide the necessary funding to invest in improved sport and community facilities on the remainder of the site. This will deliver a secure and more sustainable long-term sport and community use at the much-loved Top Field.

We are committed to engaging with supporters, residents, local groups and stakeholders when we have something to share. At the right time, we will be inviting feedback from the community, listening to new ideas, and working with the community to ensure this project truly reflects the needs and aspirations of the people it will serve.
